Hi Jerry & Co,
The body armour is made simply from bra cups! I put one inside the other for extra padding and sewed thick elastic around the triangular cup. 2 straps velcro around the chest and two around the neck. Louis has his scapula and the top part of the humerus left and this forms a rather sharp point so needs protecting. He is a bit touchy about people knowing he wears a bra so that’s why we refer to it as body armour!!
The head goes through the top loop then the velcro strap goes under the chest to keep the padding over the stump.
Regards,
Kath & Louis

LOVE this! You are really innovative, this is so cool. You wouldn’t believe how many folks have looked for some kind of solution for the ol’ bumped stump. Would it be alright if I posted this in our Tripawds Gear blog?
Thanks for sharing!!!
Hi Jerry,
That’s fine. If it helps my fellow tri-atheletes I’m more than happy. Let me know how others get on with one.
Luv & Licks,
Louis
Ingenious! Plus, this is a great way to recycle our saggy, old bras! You could really be on to something….
